de Saisset Museum CA History Tour Policy
At this time, the CA History Tour program is only available to 3rd and 4th grade classes studying California History. Please note that completing this form does not confirm nor guarantee your visit. Tours are not confirmed or guaranteed until you receive a confirmation packet from the Museum and we receive all required documentation back. Your visit will be confirmed when touring docents have signed up for your tour. This process can take 3-4 business weeks.

Tours can only be scheduled at most six months in advance and is limited to one class. If your class has more than 35 students, please reach out to us for more information. Requests for more than one class visit will be required to book two tours on two separate dates. No groups larger than one class size will be accepted.

All tours are subject to a cancellation fee of $90 if done so less than 14 days before the tour or a no-show occurs. The Museum does not provide transportation or parking.

The de Saisset Museum is able to offer CA History Tours at no charge to the schools. As this is a free service, the suggested donation is $2/student or $70 per class. All donations can be made at Santa Clara University's website here: https://mysantaclara.scu.edu/givenow. Please select de Saisset Museum from the drop-down menu and put "CA History Fund" in the special instructions line.
Insurance Policy
All field trip groups must provide evidence of insurance. This insurance must include General Liability coverage for bodily injury and property damage and shall include premises liability and products or complete operations liability in an amount of not less than $1 million per occurrence. If employees of your organization will be on Santa Clara University's campus, evidence of worker's compensation insurance in Statutory Limits must also be included. Please talk directly with your school administrator to obtain this paperwork. Evidence of insurance can be faxed to the attention of Samantha Hull at 408.554.7840 or emailed to desaissetmuseum@scu.edu
