CANFIELD BASEBALL CLUB
RULES AND REGULATIONS OF BATTING BARN
Hours of Operation
Sunday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The Batting Barn will be open to online current registered Canfield Baseball Club members from October 1, 2017 through February 28, 2018. The Batting Barn will be open to Canfield Baseball Club teams registered during the spring season.
Rules AND Regulations - Waivers

Please be advised that children under 19 must have the waiver signed by a parent or guardian. No one may enter the Batting Cages without a signed wavier on file.
Prices
The price for 1-hour blocks, three times a week from October 1, 2017 through February 28, 2018 is $100. If additional times are available, an Executive Committee person of the CBC may allow additional times during the week to registered members.
Information/Rules on reserving the Canfield Baseball Club Batting Barn.
1. Reservations are first come, first served based on date, time, and online confirmation.
2. Do NOT assume you have the Batting Barn until you receive an online confirmation.
3. Canfield Baseball Club members ONLY may join the Batting Barn. A member is a player who has registered, paid a fee, and played during the past spring baseball season (2017) for the Canfield Baseball Club.
4. A reservation comes with access to one of three areas within the Batting Barn. There are two areas for batting (Area A and Area B). There is one area for throwing (Area C).
5. Reservations are limited to (3) 1-hour blocks during a week (Sunday through Saturday) and can only be made up to seven days in advance. It is at the discretion of an Executive Committee person of the CBC whether to allow more than (3) 1-hour blocks during a week if additional times are available.
6. Canfield Baseball Club is not responsible for any injuries sustained while using the facility. Bat and throw at your own risk.
7. No one may enter the Batting Barn until he/she has registered online and signed a waiver. All participants must have a signed waiver on file. Participants under age 19 must have waivers signed by their parent or guardian.
8. A participant must wear helmets.
9. Only two people may be in a Batting area at a time. It will consist of a pitcher who is throwing behind the netted L screen and the batter, who is wearing a helmet and standing at the far end from the pitcher.
10. No practice swings are allowed outside the Batting Barn area.
11. A participant must exit the Batting Barn after the scheduled time.
12. We are not responsible for any participant’s lost, broken, or stolen property.
13. Please report any unsafe behavior or broken equipment immediately to either the CBC president or vice president.
14. No smoking, food, or beverages within the Batting Barn. No seeds or gum.
15. Please respect the people around you.
16. If no other participant is there after you complete your session, you are responsible to close and lock all doors and turn off the equipment and lights of the batting barn.
17. Any violation of these rules will result in the participant’s immediate ejection from the Batting Barn or CBC facility and may also result in long-term loss of the participants CBC membership privileges.
18. Batting barn registrants are not permitted to give lessons in the batting barn to non-batting barn members. Batting barn registrants are permitted to bring in their own batting or pitching coaches to teach them.

Waiver

BATTING BARN WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND AGREEMENT TO INDEMNIFY
In consideration of the services and facilities provided by the Canfield Baseball Club, their agents, officers, participants, consultants, employees, and all persons or entities acting in any capacity on their behalf (hereinafter referred to as CBC) I now agree and certify as follows--
I. I acknowledge and fully understand that I, the participant, or my minor child, where applicable, will be engaging in activities that may involve risk of serious injury which might result not only from my own actions, inactions or negligence, but from the actions, inactions or negligence of others or the condition of the premises or of any equipment used. Further, there may be other risks not known or not reasonably foreseeable at this time, which, risks may include, but are not limited to-- the nature of the activity- latent or apparent defects or conditions in equipment or property supplied by CBC, or other persons or entities- use of property by myself or others or use of equipment supplied by CBC or other entity- acts of other participants in this activity, employees or agents of the CBC- my own physical condition, acts or omissions- conditions of the CBC facility and surrounding grounds or terrain and accidents connected with their use- first aid emergency treatment or other services.
2. 1 expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all risks associated with my use of the CBC Facilities and services. My participation in this activity is purely voluntary and I elect, in spite of the risks, to participate. I assume all the foregoing risks and accept personal responsibility for damages or such injuries that may occur, or expenses associated therewith.
3. On behalf of myself, my children, my parents, my heirs, assigns, personal representatives I hereby voluntarily release, waive, forever discharge, and agree to indemnify’ and hold harmless Canfield Baseball Club and its directors, agents, trustees, and other employees, affiliates, employees, distributors and agents, other Batting Barn participants, and, if applicable, operators or lessors of premises used to conduct the event-activity, from any and all liability of any kind for any and all claims, demands or causes of action which are in any way connected with my participation in this activity or my use of the CBC equipment or facilities.
4. 1 hereby certify that I have adequate insurance to cover any injury or damage that I may cause or suffer while participating in these activities, or alternatively I agree to bear the costs of such injury or damage myself I further certify that I have no medical or physical conditions, which could interfere with my safety in this activity, or in the alternative I am willing to assume and bear all risks and the risks arising by reason thereof, that may be created, directly or indirectly, by any such condition.
5. 1 hereby certify that I have read and am familiar with the Batting Barn Rules and Regulations, and I agree to comply with the conditions set forth therein.
6. I hereby give CBC permission to administer basic First Aid to me and-or my minor child, and I authorize CBC or its agents or employees to contact 911 or other emergency personnel as needed. I further agrees to hold harmless CBC from any loss, liability, or damage causes by the provision of such first aid, or the summons of emergency personnel.. –
In consideration of(minor’s name or names) (Minor) being permitted by CBC to participate in activities and use of the Batting Barn facility and equipment therein, I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless CBC, directors, trustee, agents, and other employees, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, distributors and agents, other Batting Barn participants, and, if applicable, operator or lessors of premises used to conduct the event-activity, in connection with the use or participation by Minor consistent with the terms as set forth above.
By signing this document, I acknowledge that if anyone is hurt, or property damaged during participation in this activity a court of law may find me to have waived my right to maintain a lawsuit against Canfield Baseball Club and each of the other parties listed in Paragraph 3 above on the basis of any claim from which I have released them herein.
I HAVE HAD SUFFICIENT OPPORTUNITY to READ THE ENTIRE DOCUMENT. I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD IT AND I AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ITS TERMS.
